Sewing, a way to save money- sometimes

In this economy you really want to save money, even I, as an eleven year- old girl, realize it. Knowing how to sew clothes and other accessories is a great pastime and a way to save money- sometimes. Many people aren't familiar with the sewing machine and sewing, while many people are. That is why my mom's friend and my mom offer classes to teach the young children and even some other moms. One of my friends from school and I attended her last class where we made bags, wrap skirts for the beach, and decorated flip- flops.
Right now you're probably thinking that sewing totally saves you money, but, and here comes the "sometimes" part, fabric can be expensive! Especially when you buy more than you need and then you don't always finish that project, so all that fabric and unfinished projects build up wherever you sew. Take Mom's sewing room for example. My brother and I went to visit my grandparents for a week, during that time my parents cleaned Mom's sewing room out. There were so many loads of unfinished projects and a wide variety of fabrics that she wasn't always sure what she had been making for some things. But, this is my Mom's blog so I'm going to hand it over to her. Please leave a comment if you want me to do another article!
